  • Recovery-Focused Couples Consultation

A 90-minute structured consultation for couples seeking guidance, clarity, and recommendations regarding recovery and next steps.

This service is often used early in the recovery and healing process when couples are unsure where to begin, have questions about sex addiction and betrayal trauma recovery, or would benefit from professional guidance regarding treatment options and priorities.

During the consultation, we gather information about your situation, assess where each person is in the recovery and healing process, answer questions, and provide recommendations for moving forward.

This service is designed to provide initial assessment, education, and treatment planning and is not intended to serve as ongoing couples therapy.

Following the consultation, recommendations may include individual therapy, partner support, recovery groups, formal therapeutic disclosure preparation, recovery-focused conjoint sessions (when appropriate), or other specialized resources based on your unique situation and needs.

  • Partner Consultation

Available when one individual is actively engaged in therapy within the practice for sex addiction, pornography addiction, or other compulsive sexual behaviors.

Partner consultations are designed to provide support, education, and guidance for betrayed partners navigating addiction, betrayal trauma, recovery, and the impact these issues can have on relationships.

These sessions may occur individually with the partner or include both partners, depending on the circumstances and treatment goals. They are intended to help partners ask questions, gain clarity, better understand the recovery process, and receive guidance regarding stabilization, communication, boundaries, and next steps.

Partner consultations are not traditional couples therapy. Rather, they serve as a supportive adjunct to the ongoing treatment process, helping partners remain informed, supported, and appropriately involved in recovery when clinically appropriate.

All partner-related work is approached thoughtfully, with careful attention to therapeutic boundaries, emotional safety, and the unique needs of those involved.

  • Recovery-Focused Conjoint Sessions

For established clients actively engaged in treatment within the practice.

Recovery-focused conjoint sessions are designed to support healing and recovery following the impact of sex addiction, pornography addiction, and partner betrayal trauma. Unlike traditional couples therapy, these sessions are integrated into the ongoing treatment process and are used to support recovery, healing, and relationship repair.

Conjoint sessions are available when both individuals are actively engaged in treatment within the practice, allowing for a coordinated, intentional, and recovery-oriented approach to care. When clinically appropriate, these sessions may help facilitate difficult conversations, strengthen accountability, support disclosure-related work, improve communication, and promote emotional safety throughout the recovery process.

Because conjoint sessions are part of an established treatment plan, careful consideration is given to readiness, stabilization, boundaries, and the unique needs of each individual and relationship.

Please note that recovery-focused conjoint sessions differ from a Couples Consultation. Couples Consultations are designed to provide assessment, education, and treatment recommendations, whereas conjoint sessions are incorporated into ongoing treatment to support recovery and relational healing.

  • Formal Therapeutic Disclosure

Formal Therapeutic Disclosure is a structured, therapist-guided process designed to support honesty, accountability, and clarity following sex addiction, pornography addiction, infidelity, and chronic deception within a relationship.

This process allows for the intentional disclosure of harmful or previously undisclosed behaviors in a clinically supported environment, with careful preparation provided for both individuals involved. For many individuals and relationships, formal disclosure serves as an important component of the recovery and healing process by helping establish a foundation of honesty, accountability, emotional safety, and informed decision-making moving forward.

The disclosure process includes significant preparation for both partners and is approached thoughtfully, with careful consideration given to readiness, stabilization, and emotional safety. Therapeutic support throughout the process helps individuals navigate the emotional impact of disclosure, process difficult emotions, and move toward greater understanding, stability, and relational clarity.
